UNDP’s initiative LIVE LEBANON in collaboration with Caracalla Dance Theatre has hosted a fundraising event on 19 February 2010 at the Forum de Beirut.

‘’Zayed and the Dream’’ the awaited new performances from Caracalla, gathers on stage 7 horses and 160 dancers coming from all over the World. Lebanese yet International, this appealing combination was perfect to entertain the 400 spectators invited by LIVE LEBANON and the UNDP. These LIVE LEBANON supporters generously contributed to the cause by purchasing their tickets for this very special evening. Thanks to this partnership with Caracalla Dance Theatre and the support of our generous sponsors, LIVE LEBANON has raised 17,000 USD that will directly finance local development projects all over Lebanon

LIVE LEBANON aims to mobilize a critical mass of Lebanese living abroad in support of local development in the most deprived areas of Lebanon. This allows expatriates to contribute to the elimination of poverty and regional disparities in Lebanon. To this end, an online platform, www.livelebanon.net, has been created to allow Lebanese expatriates to engage in and make online donations to development projects in Lebanon. The donor can choose a project in a specific caza or village and the amount he/she would like to donate.
