LIVE LEBANON Goodwill Ambassadors are appointed by UNDP Lebanon. Their role is to represent the initiative throughout the widely dispersed Lebanese expatriate communities.
UNDP Lebanon seeks to reach all Lebanese in the world by appointing reputable individuals with a record of support to Lebanon despite their residence abroad.
UNDP Lebanon has appointed three Goodwill Ambassadors so far, Ambassador Ghaleb Farha representing the Arab Gulf region, Ambassador Nasser Hakim representing Latin America, and Ambassador Bouran Bouery representing Western Europe. The appointment of LIVE LEBANON Goodwill Ambassadors will continue to cover other areas of the world including Northern America, Africa, and Australia.
Ghaleb Farha

Mr. Farha has lived in the Emirates for the last 40 years.
Occupation:
- Director Partner of 3 hotels in Dubai.
- Chairman of Cloisall Company, which deals with Fit-out Interior finishes and has manufacturing units. Based in Dubai and have branches in Abu Dhabi-UAE, Qatar, Amman-Jordan, Oman and Bahrain.
- Managing Partner of Intercat Hospitality LLC, one of the large catering company in the UAE.
- Managing Partner of Butlers Dry Clean and Launders, a large laundry company that caters for Private and Government Institutions.
Achievements:
- Member of the 13 Club Association, which is consisted of 13 highly important people.
- Board Member of the Rotary Club of Jumeirah, Dubai.
- Chairman of the World Presidents Organizations (WPO) Emirates Chapter, an international Association of CEOs who meet regularly for educational and commercial benefits.
- Vice Chairman of Building Material Group, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dubai. |
Nasser Hakim

Occupation: Owner and president of Hakim Holding and Hakim Group, active in the medical and construction fields.

Bouran Bouery

Bouran Bouery has been volunteering and involved in charities from a very young age. Born in Lebanon, trained as a nurse, she emigrated to Monaco in 1987. There, she worked her way from being an au pair to owning and operating her own fashion design brand.
However, her priority has always been to alleviate the suffering of children, especially in Lebanon. In 2004, thanks to the help of various donors, she started the charity organization “Les amis du Liban a Monaco” to officially frame her numerous activities.
Since then, this organization has partnered various NGOs all over the world and has helped thousands of people in Lebanon, focusing mainly on issues related to health and children’s education. Activities include the opening of schools for illiterate children, heart surgery for children suffering from cardiac conditions, purchase of ambulances for medical clinics, and the yearly distribution of gifts to 5,000 children coming from different background during the holidays.
Mrs. Bouery’s activities mainly take place directly with the beneficiaries, as she believes human contact is crucial to development work.
Mrs. Bouery was recently appointed UNDP Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe.
