Establishing the concrete canal has limited the loss of irrigation water and permanently eliminated the growth of weeds through contaminated water.
Farmers now only require half the time to irrigate their fields, saving costs which they otherwise spent on irrigation and pesticide control amounting to 30 per cent of their monthly income.
