IRRIGATION TIME DECREASED BY 50% IN AL SAAD!
Before:

Large quantities of water were being wasted before reaching the agricultural fields because they were transported through a dirt canal. Moreover, farmers used to pay 450,000 LBP for every 12 hours of irrigation of 2 hactares of land while suitable water is available nearby. The scarcity of water and its cost obliges farmers to plant crops that do not require great quantities of water which are also not very profitable.

After:

With the project implementation, farmers now require 50 per cent less time to irrigate their fields. They are now saving their income which was spent on unwanted pesticides. Farmers now save 30 per cent of their income with your support to this project and are able to plant crops that due require higher amounts of water.

You can also support increasing crop yields in the Bekaa. Go to our Projects page to discover more opportunities to promote a Prosperous Lebanon!
